The California Department of Education (CDE) provides nutrition and food service education and training to child nutrition program operators and educators, frequently in collaboration with numerous education, health, and nutrition-allied organizations and through affiliation with advocacy and professional organizations. The goal is to improve the nutritional health of children and families through effective management of all school and child care programs.
