Updates to School Nutrition Program Standards

This MB provides Child Nutrition Programs (CNPs) Operators information and policy guidance regarding updates to federal CNP meal pattern requirements released on April 24, 2024.

This MB provides Child Nutrition Program (CNP) operators information and policy guidance regarding updates to CNP meal pattern requirements. These changes are a result of the U.S. Department of Food and Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service Child Nutrition Programs: Meal Patterns Consistent With the 2020–2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGAs) (Final Rule) released on April 24, 2024, as well as updates to the California Code of Regulations, effective April 1, 2025.
