Ad Hoc Committee on Assessment & Accountability

  1. Welcome and Introductions
    Committee Co-Chair Honig called the Ad Hoc Committee on Assessment & Accountability meeting to order. All participating Ad Hoc Committee members and IQC members introduced themselves, verified the posting of the public meeting notice, and introduced public members. The CDE staff members were also identified.

  2. Accountability Update (Information)
    Nancy Brownell, Senior Fellow, Local Control and Accountability, California State Board of Education, provided the commissioners an update on the new accountability system. She referenced a PowerPoint that was e-mailed to the commissioners and throughout her presentation she addressed questions. At the September 24–25, 2015 Instructional Quality Commission meeting, the committee will have a follow-up update.

  3. Public Comment: None

    Committee Co-Chair Honig adjourned the meeting at 4 p.m.
