CDMIS Updates: Issues #27–35

Issue # 36: Released October 7, 2024

• The effective date for submitting data to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child Development Management Information System (CDMIS) has been updated. Starting November 5, 2024, all data for children enrolled in CDSS contract types, including Migrant Childcare and Development (CMIG), Migrant Alternative Payment Program (CMAP), General Child Care and Development (CCTR), Family Child Care Home Education Networks (CFCC), Alternative Payment Program (CAPP), CalWORKs Stage Two Child Care (C2AP), and CalWORKs Stage Three Child Care (C3AP), must be submitted to the CDSS Child Development Management information systems (CDMIS). This applies to reports with due dates on or after November 20, 2024, including the CDD-801A Report, Subsidized Provider Report (SPR), and CDD-801B Report. Agencies holding contracts with both the California Department of Education (CDE) and CDSS will be required to submit separate reports to the respective CDMIS systems for California State Preschool Program (CSPP) and CDSS contract types. All SPR and CDD-801B submissions will transition to the CDSS CDMIS, with the California Department of Education (CDE) CDMIS no longer used for these submissions.

Issue #35: Released July 24, 2024

• The CDD-801A Report will include new “Attendance Status” data fields starting August 1, 2024, to record attendance for each program code. Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) (excluding community colleges) will submit CSPP data to the California Preschool Data Collection (CAPSDAC) system instead of CDMIS. The “Primary Language” field will become optional, and the SPR will now require reporting of subsidy amounts paid to each provider and will transition to a 10-digit Combined Contract Code. Starting October 9, 2024, data for children in CDSS contracts must be submitted to the CDSS CDMIS.

Issue #34: Released February 8, 2024

• Provides instruction for users who are unable to “Copy Forward” their CDD-801A reports from December 2023 to January 2024.

Issue #33: Released January 29, 2024

• Inform users of changes to the "Child Receives Part-Day Care" information field.

Issue #32: Released January 23, 2024

• Inform users of two new reason codes, Reason Code U – CSPP Early Enrollment and Reason Code V – Means-Tested Government Program, added to the "Reason for Receiving Child Care Services" field.

Issue #31: Released December 28, 2023

• Inform CDMIS users to begin reporting enrollment in the CDD-801A Report as of the December 2023 CDD-801A Report

Issue #30: Released January 18, 2023

• Introduce CDMIS M&O Phase II Updates:
  • Updated features to the Update Agency Information function
  • Viewing CDMIS user account history
  • Monitoring report transaction history for CDD-801A, CDD-801B, and Subsidized Provider Report (SPR)
  • Additional viewing options to the CDD-801A submittal status
  • Updated processing features to the CDD-801A electronic file submission
  • Overall improvements to CDMIS user experience
• CDMIS M&O Phase II Technical Assistance Webinar

Issue #29: Released January 5, 2023

• Inform CSPP Contractors of the Preschool Language Information System (PLIS) and PLIS Report
• Provide a data crosswalk of the PLIS Report of data fields with the CDD-801A Report
• Inform users of a scheduled PLIS Technical Assistance webinar
