The Nutrition Services Division (NSD) continues the discussion, policy guidance, and sharing of best practices for operating school nutrition programs as local educational agencies begin the 2020–21 school year while mitigating the spread of COVID-19, navigating 58 nationwide waivers, and adjusting to various distance and hybrid learning models.

Join us for Tuesday @ 2 virtual town hall events every two weeks to provide an opportunity for schools to discuss how they are operating their food service programs.

NSD invites you to participate in the next Tuesday @ 2 School Nutrition Town Hall webinar on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

The Tuesday @ 2 School Nutrition Town Hall webinar will include school nutrition directors who will discuss their food service operations and how they are serving meals during COVID-19, addressing program requirements, and rebuilding program participation.

Panelists will include:

  • Richard Rochin, Director of Child Nutrition, Parlier Unified School District (USD) (enrollment 3,400)
  • Linda Liu, Director of Food and Nutrition Services, Pajaro Valley USD (enrollment 19,345)
  • Trieste Huey, Director Food Services, Fontana USD (enrollment 37,846)

Target Audience

The target audience includes all state and local school nutrition professionals, superintendents, school business officials, and community partners involved in school meal service.
